Addenbrookes Roundabout update 17
Works in the northeast quadrant (Fendon Road – A1307, Babraham Road) are now complete, and pedestrian access through this section has been reopened.
Pedestrian access between Hills Road and Fendon Road remains closed, with a clearly marked diversion in place, while works continue in this area.
As mentioned in last week’s update carriageway preparation is on schedule, with resurfacing due to begin on Monday 13 October. During this period, Fendon Road will be closed overnight from 8pm to 6am for one week while the roundabout is resurfaced and re-lined. Emergency services access will be maintained throughout, and the road will reopen each morning. Daytime access will not be affected.
The planned works for next week (6 October 2025) are:
- Installation of fence barriers near Fendon Road and Hills Road South
- Installation of traffic loop chambers
- Resurfacing of all traffic islands
