Addenbrooks roundabout works 9
Here is the latest update.
Last week, the Fendon Road island was resurfaced and the pedestrian diversion was put in place, while temporary traffic signals were repositioned for the work on the island without affecting the existing temporary signal system, which will remain in place throughout phase 2.
Traffic management remains in place overnight to enable the site team to work safely with the carriageway reopened each morning, when all traffic management equipment is removed to allow traffic to use the roundabout normally during the day.
This week, the site team will continue to work on the section of the roundabout between the Fendon Road arm and the Hills Road arm leading into the city. They’ll be carrying out a CCTV survey of the gullies in this area and clearing vegetation, as well as continuing with excavation and installing kerbs and drainage.
Towards the end of this week, working with Camcycle, the memorial bike will be repositioned to keep it safe whilst the works are underway.
