Addenbrookes roundabout works 6
This is the latest update.
Our programme of work at Addenbrooke’s roundabout continues to progress well, with the first phase due to be completed in early July as planned.
Over the last week, the team has finished construction of the kerb and completed the installation of the ducting for Light Blue Fibre as part of Cambridgeshire County Council’s Dig Once policy.
Separately Cambridge Water have also repaired their damaged water pipe on site which was unrelated to our works.
Over the coming days, the widened section of the carriageway will be resurfaced and new signage and illuminated directional and safety signs will be installed.
We are due to return to the roundabout to start phase 2 of the works in August, pending co-ordination with Cambridgeshire County Council Street Works team. The machinery and barriers will be removed but the temporary traffic lights will remain. We’ll be in touch with you again ahead of the second phase starting but in the meantime please do contact us if you have any queries.
Once again, many thanks to everyone living near, working at, or travelling around the roundabout for your patience whilst phase 1 of these important safety works has been completed.
