Addenbrookes roundabout works 13
Progress to date includes removing the Fendon Road traffic island, where a new island has been installed to allow vehicles to continue to use the road in both directions.
Works have also commenced on the Hills Road arm of the roundabout heading out of the city, with a trench for the new kerb line already cut and existing kerbs being removed. A pedestrian diversion is in place whilst these works are underway.
Planned works for the coming week involve continuing to remove existing kerbs and excavating the trench for new kerb lines on the Hills Road arm of the roundabout leading out of the city to be laid. The pedestrian diversion will continue to be in place. Temporary road lining will be painted this week to ensure the roundabout can still be used safely during daytime hours and three new signal pole locations will be excavated using a vacuum excavator. We apologise for any noise disturbance caused by this work.
