Addenbrookes roundabout works 11
Here is the latest update on our safety improvement works at Addenbrooke’s roundabout.
Over the past week the team have completed excavations between Fendon Road and Hills Road, marking an important milestone in this phase of work. Tactile paving installation is underway, and drainage and gully installations are progressing, while kerb and edging works are now 85% complete. Ducting installation also continues on schedule.
The temporary traffic signals are still in place and are effectively managing traffic flow, with no issues being reported. Traffic management continues to be in place overnight to maintain the site team’s safety and is removed during daylight hours to allow traffic to use the roundabout normally.
Looking ahead, the focus will be on completing the new kerb line installations and finishing the drainage system. With major excavation works complete and supporting infrastructure well advanced, the project remains on track for its next stages.
