Cancer hospital update

This is the latest update from the Cancer hospital:

“We now anticipate submitting our Full Business Case (FBC) in mid-2026. This is so that we can ensure the Business Case reflects the recently updated guidance on the implementation of the Government’s Building Safety Act. We will keep stakeholders informed as we prepare for submission.

“In the meantime, we continue to focus on finalising the design of the new building, and on developing new care pathways and operating models that will support the delivery of integrated research and clinical care in the hospital.

“The FBC will be reviewed by NHS England, the Department of Health and Social Care and HM Treasury. We expect to receive approval towards the end of 2026.”
