Christmas bins

Christmas bins

As our recycling and waste is no longer collected on Mondays, this means there is much less disruption throughout the year with the majority of bank holidays on Mondays. The Council can empty bins on the preceding Mondays around Christmas and New Year which means that there are only four days of disruption to the service, rather than three or four weeks as has been the case in the past. The usual side-waste policy applies – you can put out one additional bag of recycling in a clear sack and/or a bundle or cardboard tied together to the size that would fit in the bin if it was empty. Additional black and green bin waste will not be emptied. If necessary, you can take these to the recycling centres and Milton or Thriplow. Also, a reminder that there will be no green bin collections during weeks starting 23 and 30 December as we begin the usual 4-weekly winter schedule.
