There is a burst water main on the Addenbrookes roundabout. Update: NOW FIXED. This will delay the existing roadworks there but it is hard to say for how long. Otherwise work is progressing well. See further details below.
Fendon Road exiting Addenbrookes roundabout northbound is closed and Hills Road southbound has a lane closure in place on the approach to the burst main on the roundabout. Cambs Water expect to be onsite most of the week. Slight delays of 3 minutes northbound on Hills Road currently.

Work has progressed well on this project, with a number of our key priorities being completed. This includes the installation of Light Blue Fibre Ducting across the carriageway and within the roundabout, as well as the trench excavation needed to widen the carriageway.
The new permanent traffic signals have been installed, and following discussions with Streetworks, will be commissioned at the start of Phase 2 programme later this summer.
The team is continuing work on the drainage works, kerb construction and this week we are scheduled to start groundworks to fill in the trench, resurfacing the widened sections of the carriageway and the installation of road signage.
Overnight traffic management remains in place to support safe delivery of the works, but we’d like to reassure road users that the roundabout will remain fully open during the day.
As always, we appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as we work to improve safety and future-proof infrastructure in the area.
