Cambridge South East Transport

The Greater Cambridge Partnership have applied for a Transport and Works Act Order to the Department for Transport (DfT) for a new busway, travel hub and path for walkers and cyclists to the southeast of Cambridge.

Cambridge South East Transport connects communities along the route to Cambridge and the new Cambridge South railway station, as well as giving commuters easy access to the Biomedical Campus, Granta Park and Babraham Research Campus. The new travel hub near the A11 and A1307 will be in easy reach for anyone coming to Cambridge from the east and south.

The scheme will connect with the existing busway in Cambridge, and the adjoining walking and cycling path would give more travel choices, making it quicker, easier and more reliable to get to where you need to go.

The submission follows five rounds of public consultation as well as extensive community and stakeholder engagement on the route since 2016.
